About the SPAC

The Sanford Performing Arts Center (SPAC) is located in the heart of the new Sanford High School and Sanford Regional Technical Center. The 854-seat theater is a perfect venue for live performances of all kinds, including music, theater, dance, comedy, and more.
The theater opened on December 17, 2018. In addition to school performances and speakers, the SPAC presents a series of national touring performances. The venue is also available for rent by outside organizations and presenters.
The mission of the Sanford Performing Arts Center is to provide educational and cultural enrichment opportunities to foster the development, understanding, and enjoyment of the performing arts in our community.


The SPAC is operated by the Sanford School Department. The SPAC committee is a team of volunteers tasked with driving the mission and vision of the theater. Our volunteer committee members are:
